Falkirk Sewing Studio is collaborating with Falkirk Delivers, social enterprises, local charities, organisations and local businesses to coincide with the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) in Glasgow on 31 October – 12 November 2021
As part of Falkirk’s SHOP26 event being run in Falkirk. We are looking for used jeans donations for a small project. The project will have FREE workshops for all members of the community at Falkirk Sewing Studio, MSU3, Callendar Square Shopping Centre, High Street, Falkirk FK1 1UJ. The studio is open between 9 am and 5pm Monday to Saturday for dropping off your donations of jeans that will be used for making reusable bags. In addition, a drop off box will be placed in front of the studio's shutters outside of these times.
Free sewing workshops using the donated fabric will start on Wednesday 06 October 2021 running till 07 November 2021 every day except Sundays, making fabric bags for life.
Come and join us at our daily drop in sessions:
Cutting 10 am - 12 noon
Sewing 1 pm - 3 pm.
No experience is necessary. Drinks and snacks will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity learn to sew, to contribute to Falkirk's initiative to raise awareness about climate change and COP26, upcycle, and reuse. It is also an excellent opportunity to network, build your social contacts with like minded people and end isolation.
Bags produced at the workshops will also be sold at the workshop for £2.50 each at the Green Market and Falkirk Sewing Studio and our online store with 50% of proceeds being donated to the independent support group charity, Outside The Box.

We look forward to your participation in these workshops. Please share the link to support our activities. Facebook
